DETAILS: At approximately 1145 hours, June 22, 1978, Constable Begbie was riding his own motorcycle from the Force's firearms range at Glen Miller to Trenton police station. He had just completed firearms training and was returning to report off duty. His motorcycle left the road, struck a mail box and telephone pole. Constable Begbie suffered fatal injuries.

DETAILS: At approximately 1615 hours, Constable Houlden accompanied by another officer attended a local domestic complaint. This was a family dispute during which a large amount of pushing and shoving took place. During the physical exertion, Constable Houlden collapsed with a heart seizure and died.

June 27th, 1931

DETAILS: Cst. Blair Brown along with two other Trenton officers were travelling to Peterborough to pick up a prisoner when their vehicle was struck head on by another motor vehicle. Cst. Brown was killed instantly and the other officers were seriously injured.
